If you don’t like the weather in the Himalayas just wait for a few hours and it will change. The Himalayas are so high that they make their own weather, it can be bright and sunny and in a few hours it may get cloudy and cold.

It is very difficult predict the weather so you have to be prepared for it, in day time it can be bright and sunny and as the sun goes down the temperatures plummets in the higher mountains.

So you have to be prepared for days with bright sun shining, sudden guest of strong cold winds and very cold night.

Breakfast – Our daily breakfast will be at the hotels where we stay.

Lunch – Daily lunch will be at small midway joints or it will be an picnic Lunch at some places where our team will cook food for you and serve it hot.

Dinner – Our daily dinner will be at the hotels / Camps / Guesthouse where we stay. Dinner in Manali & Leh is not included in the package as there are lots of good local restaurants in both cities where you can go out and enjoy a meal.

Food is a very essential part of these trips. We make sure that the meals we offer is method delicious, unless you ask for dull meals. You are also permitted the choice of veggie or non-vegetarian meals. We suggest that you consume only the bottled standard water that we will carry for you.

The Tour starts and ends at Manali, you can reach Manali by Air from Delhi ( Bhuntar  Airport in Kullu ) or take a cab / Bus from Delhi to Chandigarh to reach here.

  • In Indian, the conventional of outfit is more traditional. We counsel you to prevent very short shorts/skirts and limited tops/tank tops when viewing small non-urban places, temples, mosques or other sacred sites as this may limit your access.
  • A hotter set of outfits (Fleece, Coat, hat and gloves) are required for visits going through Munnar and other thin air places.

How bad is Altitude Sickness in Ladakh, and what can I do to avoid, or treat it?
Ladakh is a high altitude area many visitors from low-altitude areas may suffer from altitude sickness. Most people suffer minor effects of altitude sickness only, which include headache, loss of appetite, and a tendency to have no energy until their bodies adjust to the high terrain. This adjustment can take anywhere from a few hours, and in rare cases, a few days. If visitors do some simple preparations before going to any high altitude area, most of the symptoms of altitude sickness can be avoided. Being healthy and in good shape before you arrive in Mustang will help greatly. It is also recommended that you talk to your local physician about AMS pills to help combat altitude sickness. Your tour guide will be there to offer help and suggestions.
Do we have backup vehicle available with us during the tour
During your cycling trip you will have two vehicles travelling with you, one will be a pickup for your luggage / Cycles / Camping equipment & kitchen.

The other will be a Bolero Camper that has seating in it, it will have the backup team travelling with you. This vehicle also doubles up as an resting vehicle if some one gets tired during cycling and carries water and other goodies for the group. It will always be at the rear of the convoy.
Can you book a hotel for me?
Yes, sure we can book hotel stay for you for your pre and post tour days.
What is your cancellation policy?
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/ unavoidable reasons we must be informed in written. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive mail in written and cancellation charges would be as follows:
• Once the booking is confirmed – 25% of the tour/service cost.
• 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
• 07 days prior to arrival – 75% of the tour/service cost.
• Less than 72 hours or no show – NO REFUNDS
Can you send us the final itinerary before we book the tour?
Yes we always send the tour program before you book.
Note - as we travel in the Himalayas at time if necessary we have to make changes in the itinerary due to snow fall / road closure or any other natural calamity that is beyond our control.
How do we communicate with other team mates when where is no mobile signal en-route
We provide walki-talki sets for communication to all travelling vehicles, so there we can have uninterrupted communication.
Is basis first aid available with the team
The accompanying team carries with it basis first aid, Oxygen for emergency use
Can I use ATM and credit cards during the trip?
ATM and credit card facilities can be used in Manali, Keylong and Leh. For rest, you need cash payments for various service you need.
What is the likely temperature and weather during the trip?
The weather in mountains cannot be predicted, generally in summers the temperature is in range of 10 to 20 degrees in the higher reached. In the plains of Nepal expect warm weather.
