Itinerary

Day 1 | Reach Srinagar 
Reach Srinagar on own, our team will  meet you at the hotel that we have booked for your stay in Srinagar. Evening trip briefings followed by Dinner with team and get to know other expedition members.
Overnight at Srinagar.
 
Day 2 |  Srinagar – Sonmarg – Kargil ( 202 Kms / 6 Hrs )
Post breakfast we check out and drive to Sonmarg in the mountains. Sonmarg is surrounded by high altitude meadows and oversees Thawajas Glacier. after a brief visit continue with the drive to Kargil. The drive from Sonmarg to Kargil takes us over the Zoji La Pass which was the scene for major battles between India and pakistan in 1947. We will also cross Drass village at 3300 meters  which has the distention being the coldest inhabited place in India and temperature usually goes down to -33 and below. Continue with the drive and we visit the Kargil War Memorial on our way to Kargil Town.

Day 3 | Kargil to Leh ( 216 Kms / 5 Hrs )
After breakfast drive to Leh, enroute we cross Namika La & Foto La Pass. Time permitting we can also visit the ancient village of Alchi. Also cross Sangam / Gurudwara Pathar Sahib en-route to Leh.

Day 4 | In Leh Rest Day
Complete day for rest and Leh local sightseeing visit War memorial, Shanti Stupa Leh Fort. Leh Market and other places of attraction.

Day 5 | Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La ( 150km / 6Hours)
Get an early breakfast and get briefed about the day’s trip to Nubra Valley.  Today you will be driving on one of  the world’s highest civilian motorable pass, Khardung La, we will also drive up to Diskit Monastery for an unending view of the Nubra Valley. Later head to the White Sand Dunes of Hundar where you can get a double-humped camel ride ( on direct payment basis )

Day 6 | Drive to Pangong  ( 160 Kms / 6 Hrs )
After breakfast, we drive to Pangong Lake which is a salt water lake at  4225 Meters in the higher reached of Ladakh, the lake changes color every few hours and the best time for photography is in Morning & evening when the lake is at its best . The road to Pangong is full of contrasts crossing through narrow valleys, river sides and wide open plains. Reach Pangong in mid day and check into your camps / guest house. Explore the natural beauty of the lake.

Day 7 | Pangong Lake to Tso Kar ( 244 km / 7 hours)
After breakfast, you will take some time to admire the beauty of the lake, before starting the drive towards Chang La pass ( 5391 meters ) . Tso Kar is a Salt Water lake and an important Ramsar site ( wetland of importance and birding site ) There is only one Village near the Lake and it is here where we stay for the night, in the evening spend time star gazing and on a clear night the Milky waves can be seen with naked eye from here as there is no light pollution in the area.

Day 8 | Tso Kar to Jispa ( 225 Kms / 7 Hrs )
Morning free to explore Tso Kar, later drive to Jispa. enroute we cross More Plains, Pang, Lungcha La Pass, Nakeela Pass, Kangla Jal La, Sarchu, Baralacha la to reach Jispa.
Overnight at Jispa / Keylong.

Day 9 | Jispa to Manali ( 92 Kms  )
After breakfast drive towards Manali, en-route cross Sissu ,  Atal Tunnel,  Solang valley to reach Manali. Evening farewell dinner with expedition members & team.

End of tour.

Meals Included in the Tour – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Breakfast – Our daily breakfast will be at the hotels where we stay.

Lunch –  are not included in package.

Dinner – Our daily dinner will be at the hotels / Camps / Guesthouse where we stay. Dinner in Leh is not included in the package as there are lots of good local restaurants in both cities where you can go out and enjoy a meal.

Food is a very essential part of these trips. We make sure that the meals we offer is method delicious, unless you ask for dull meals. You are also permitted the choice of veggie or non-vegetarian meals. We suggest that you consume only the bottled standard water that we will carry for you.
