Itinerary


Day 1 : Leh
Arrival transfer from Leh airport ( IXL ) to Hotel and Day free for acclimatization.

Day 2 : Leh –  Alchi – Leh ( 65 Kms per way )
Leh local sightseeing on you motorcycles, ride to Alchi and Visit Alchi Monastery, Leh Fort, Shanti Stupa. Evening free to  visit Leh Market.

Day 3 : Leh to Pangong ( 177 Kms )
Ride to Pangong Lake situated at an altitude of 4500 Meters. The route takes you over Chang La Pass ( 5391 meters )

Day 4 : Pangong to Hanle ( 186  Kms )
Ride to Hanle vis Kaksang La ( 5436 meters ) – Nyoma. On this route you can see Yaya Tso Lake and Mirpal Tso Lake . Hanle is one of the best places for star gazing on a clear moon less night. Evening at leisure

Day 5  Hanle – Umling La – Hanle
Ride to the worlds highest motorable road to Umling La top at ( 5799 Mtr ).

Day 6 : Hanle – Tso Kar ( 144 Kms )
Ride to Tso Kar which is an saltwater lake at 4500 meters, enroute cross –  Nyoma – Mahey – Puga hot water spring and Pologongka La ( 4844 Meters )

Day 7 : Tso Kar – Leh ( 153 Kms )
Ride to Leh via –  More Plains and Taglang La ( 5328 Mtr ) pass. Evening free to visit Leh Market.

Day 8 : Departure
On time transfer to airport to board departure flight.

Meals Included in the Tour – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Breakfast – Our daily breakfast will be at the hotels where we stay.

Lunch – Lunches will be at midway restaurants / picnic lunches ( Lunch in Leh are not included )

Dinner – Our daily dinner will be at the hotels / Camps / Guesthouse where we stay. Dinner in Leh is not included in the package as there are lots of good local restaurants in both cities where you can go out and enjoy a meal.

Food is a very essential part of these trips. We make sure that the meals we offer is method delicious, unless you ask for dull meals. You are also permitted the choice of veggie or non-vegetarian meals. We suggest that you consume only the bottled standard water that we will carry for you.

Getting there


STARTS AND END POINT OF TOUR
The Ride starts from Leh, you will have to reach Leh airport ( IXL ) by flight from Delhi.

We will provide arrival and departure transfer from Leh airpor to the Hotel in Leh.

Can you book a hotel for me?
Yes, sure we can book hotel stay for you for your pre and post tour days.
What is your cancellation policy?
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/ unavoidable reasons we must be informed in written. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive mail in written and cancellation charges would be as follows:
• Once the booking is confirmed – 25% of the tour/service cost.
• 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
• 07 days prior to arrival – 75% of the tour/service cost.
• Less than 72 hours or no show – NO REFUNDS
Can you send us the final itinerary before we book the tour?
Yes we always send the tour program before you book.
Note - as we travel in the Himalayas at time if necessary we have to make changes in the itinerary due to snow fall / road closure or any other natural calamity that is beyond our control.
Is basis first aid available with the team
The accompanying team carries with it basis first aid, Oxygen for emergency use
Why are your tours so expensive?
Travelling in the Himalayas requires as lot of preparation and a lot of specialty equipment, this along with the cost of the highly experienced travelling crew and their vehicles increases the cost of the Expedition in the Himalayas.
