Who Should Join This Expedition?
Day 2
We’ll see numerous waterfalls: Mac Mac Falls, Berlin Falls, Lisbon Falls, and then the spectacular Blyde River Canyon – one of the largest green canyons in the world, famous for its majestic cliffs and lush vegetation. We’ll admire extraordinary rock formations carved by water and wind, including the Three Rondavels – distinctive, rounded mounds reminiscent of African huts. We’ll stop at several viewpoints offering breath taking panoramas. This region is exceptionally picturesque, full of green mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. Overnight at a campsite.
Day 3
We head to Kruger National Park. We begin our game hunting adventure in one of Africa’s most famous game reserves. We have a chance to see the Big Five: elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. We’ll spend the night in the park, at a campground known as “Cat Camp” for its frequent sightings of large predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Day 4
A full day in Kruger Park, we travel through the park’s diverse ecosystems. As we travel north, the landscape gradually changes. The central plains give way to a more diverse terrain with a mix of mopane and baobab forests. This area is less frequented by tourists, increasing our chances of peaceful wildlife viewing.
Day 5
In the morning, a final safari in Kruger Park and transit west towards Botswana. In the evening, overnight stay at a lodge with dinner in the bush.
Day 6
Cross the border into Botswana. Visit the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, established in 1992 to protect endangered rhinos. Currently, it is a haven for white and black rhinos, as well as many other wildlife species. Overnight stay at a campsite in the reserve.
Day 7
A morning game drive to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary with a guide awaits. Today, we’ll drive through the endless salt flats of Nwetwe Pan to Khubu Island—a surreal island of baobabs and rocks nestled in the middle of a dry lake. We’ll spend the night under the stars.
Day 8
Departure from Kubu Island and pass more endless dry lakes. We’ll also pass through Nxai Pan National Park, where we’ll admire the majestic Baines’ baobabs. Next, we head to the town of Maun – the gateway to the Okavango Delta. In the evening, relax in a comfortable lodge with dinner on the edge of the delta.
Day 9
We’re entering Chobe National Park, where we’ll once again embark on a safari in search of elephants, lions, and buffalo. We’ll spend the night at a luxury glamping site, with dinner included. We’ll also go on an evening game drive (animal tracking) with a local guide – their experience will be invaluable in finding animals hidden in the bush.
Day 10
We begin with a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta, offering an unforgettable perspective on this extraordinary ecosystem. Then, we’ll go on another animal-spotting adventure with a local guide. We’ll also sail traditional mokoro boats through the Okavango backwaters. In the afternoon, we plan to continue our journey through Chobe National Park, spending the night at a campsite.
Day 11
Continuing on to Chobe National Park, you’ll especially enjoy the drive along the Kuando River, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and huge herds of elephants. We’ll set up camp right by this river, nestled amidst wildlife.
Day 12
Transfer to Kasane. We’ve booked a boat trip on the Kuando River with a local guide especially for our group. Here, we can observe wildlife coming to water from a completely different perspective. We’ll also cross the border into Zimbabwe – the formalities are truly “African folklore.” Here, we’ll leave our cars and take a minibus to the end of our route – Victoria Falls. For the final two nights, we’ll stay in a comfortable lodge.
Day 13
The cherry on top of our expedition cake – Victoria Falls – one of the Seven Wonders of Nature. We’ll walk along the falls and admire the might of the cascading water. In the afternoon, lunch will be served on board during a cruise on the Zambezi River. **Optional helicopter flights over the falls are available. In the evening, a gala dinner will be held, accompanied by an African music and dance performance.
