Itinerary


DAY 1 | Leh Arrival  (0 KM)
Assistance on arrival at Leh airport and transfer to hotel, day free to relax and for acclimatization.

DAY 2 | Leh 
Day to know your Motorcycles, Acclamation and explore the Indus Valley around Leh. Visit Monasteries and Local Market.

DAY 3 | LEH – FOTU LA – LAMAYURU – FOTU LA – ALCHI   (171 KM)
Morning get to know your motorcycles and take them for a ride, today we ride on the highway road to Lamayuru and back. The Road takes over one small pass ( 4108 m ) Small by Himalayas standards. Visit the Ancient Monastery at Lamayuru and drive back to Alchi which houses the Oldest Monastery in Ladakh. Evening free for leisure in Alchi.

DAY 4 | ALCHI – LEH – TANGLANG LA – TSO KAR  (215 KM)
After breakfast start the ride to Tso Kar Lake. The road to Tso Kar takes you over Tanglangla Pass at 5328 meters to reach the high altitude flat land known as More Plains which is a flat ground at 4500 meters. Continue on with the ride to Tso Kar Lake which is an nature reserve and a salt water lake with stunning views of the grass lands. Spend the evening on a bike ride to the area around the lake in Tso Kar.

DAY 5 | TSO KAR – POLOGONGKA LA – TSO MORIRINYOMA (172 KM)
Today you will ride to the massive Salt water lake that is also surrounded by snow clad peaks. Enroute you will cross Pologongka La Pass, followed by the hot springs at Chumathang Plato at Puga and after crossing a small pass you can admire the grand view of Thatsangkaru Lake (4,500 meters/14,763.78 feet). An off-road trail takes you to Karzok village along with Tso Moriri lake. After visit ride to the small village of Nyoma for overnight stay.

DAY 6 | NYOMA – KAKSANG LA – THATO LA – PANGONG  (145 KM)
The journey today is full of contrasts from flat highways with excellent tarmac to roads that have never seen tarmac, the journey has it all, on top the route will also take you over Kaksang La pass which is over 5406 meters and the highest mountain pass of your tour. From the village of Chushul the views change dramatically again and you get to see the massive Pangong lake which is like an small Sea in the Himalayas.  Pangong at 4225 meters is salt water lake and over 140 Kms long. Overnight stay at village near to lake.

DAY 7 | PANGONG – NUBRA  ( 171 KM)
The drive from Pangong to Nubra valley snakes along the river Skyok for most of the journey. The altitude drops from 4225 meters to 3000 meters. The road today has wast  flat plains, winding roads along the river Shyok, some water crossings and a mix of good tarmac and some broken patches. Overnight at Nubra Valley.

DAY 8 | NUBRA – KHARDUNG LA – LEH  (126 KM)
Morning visit Diskit Monastery for unending views of Nubra valley, the ancient monastery also has an massive statue of Buddha. Later drive up to Khardungla Pass ( 5359 meters ) and then down to Leh valley via the curvy mountain road to reach the city of Leh. Evening free for leisure at Leh market.

DAY 9 | DEPARTURE 
End of Trip and time to go home.

For our tours we use Royal Enfield Himalayan or Classic 550 bikes only.  All bikes are checked and serviced before the start of the tour to make sure that only good bikes are used for the tour.

-Notes
Minor repairs like brake shoe, spark plug, clutch plate, tubes, cable (1 set only), and engine oil are included in the cost. However, if more breakages happen due to rough handling, accidents, theft, etc., the clients will have to bear the cost.

Meals Included in the Tour – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Breakfast – Our daily breakfast will be at the hotels where we stay.

Lunch – Daily lunch will be at small midway joints or it will be an picnic Lunch at some places where our team will cook food for you and serve it hot.

Dinner – Our daily dinner will be at the hotels / Camps / Guesthouse where we stay. Dinner in Leh is not included in the package as there are lots of good local restaurants in both cities where you can go out and enjoy a meal.

Food is a very essential part of these trips. We make sure that the meals we offer is method delicious, unless you ask for dull meals. You are also permitted the choice of veggie or non-vegetarian meals. We suggest that you consume only the bottled standard water that we will carry for you.

Note – Lunches & Dinner in Leh are not included.

Type of stay


Accommodation in hotels, guesthouses or camps, in twin or triple rooms. One night in the local family homestay. Breakfast, lunches and dinners are included in the price, except the lunches and dinners in Leh.

Remember that a big part of our route leads through off the beaten track areas. Accommodation in such areas can be basic. It is always neat & clean, but do not expect urban luxuries, hot showers, central heating / cooling, lavish buffets. What these places lack in amenities they make up for with their authentic local experience, closeness to nature, locally sourced organic food, sustainable way of work and heart warming hospitality. The best hotel we will have in Leh. It is comparable to a good 3* hotel.

Please book your domestic flights from New Delhi ( DEL ) to Leh airport (IXL ). Transfer from and to the airport and back are included. Planet Way Round will pick you up from the airport.

Can you book a hotel for me?
Yes, sure we can book hotel stay for you for your pre and post tour days.
What is your cancellation policy?
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/ unavoidable reasons we must be informed in written. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive mail in written and cancellation charges would be as follows:
• Once the booking is confirmed – 25% of the tour/service cost.
• 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
• 07 days prior to arrival – 75% of the tour/service cost.
• Less than 72 hours or no show – NO REFUNDS
Can you send us the final itinerary before we book the tour?
Yes we always send the tour program before you book.
Note - as we travel in the Himalayas at time if necessary we have to make changes in the itinerary due to snow fall / road closure or any other natural calamity that is beyond our control.
How do we communicate with other team mates when where is no mobile signal en-route
We provide walki-talki sets for communication to all travelling vehicles, so there we can have uninterrupted communication.
Is basis first aid available with the team
The accompanying team carries with it basis first aid, Oxygen for emergency use
