INDIAN TO NEPAL

Day 0 : Drive from Indian to Nepal ( Siddarthnagar )

Day 01: NEPAL Submit your application for a Chinese visa early on Monday morning.

Day 02: Kathmandu local

Day 03: Kathmandu local

Day 04: Kathmandu Exploration of Pashupatinath Temple and Additional Temples.

Day 05: Kathmandu to Rasuwagadhi130 Kms, 7-Hour Drive: Obtain the group visa, as processing times may vary based on administrative procedures. Drive directly to the border. If there’s a delay in receiving the visa, you may need to stay overnight at River View Hotel, Rasuwagadhi, and continue your journey the following day NEPAL

CHINA

Day 06: Gyirong Cross the Gyirong border, finish the entry procedures, and spend the night in Gyirong Town. TIBET

Day 07: Gyirong to Mt.Everest Base Camp 350kilometers, 7-hour drive: Travel to Tashi Chong and then take the local sightseeing bus to Everest Base Camp.

Day 08: Mt.Everest Base Camp to Shigatze Traveling300 KMs in a 5-hour drive: Start by visiting the Rongbu Monastery, renowned as the highest monastery in the world, before continuing your journey to Shigatse.

Day 09: Shigatze to Lhasa 360 Kms, 6-Hour Drive: Finalize the Chinese number plate and temporary driving license process. Journey to Lhasa through Gyantze, stopping to admire the stunning Yamdrok Lake along the way.

Day 10: Lhasa Drop off day: •Lhasa: Visit to Potala palace, Jokong monastery, Barkhor Street. Etc. Day 11:Lhasa to Amdo 480 kilometers, 8-hour drive: Journey to Amdo.

Day 12: Amdo to Tanggula (280 km, 5-hour drive)     Traverse the Tanggula Pass (5231 meters), the highest point of the journey. Pass through Tuotuohe Railway Station, near the source of the Yangtze River, China’s longest river.

Day 13: Tanggula to Golmud (430 km, 8-hour drive)    Drive through the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, enjoying breathtaking high-altitude scenery.

Day 14: Golmud to Dunhuang (540 km, 7.5-hourdrive)   Continue across the stunning landscapes of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Arrive in Dunhuang, an iconic city along the ancient Silk Road.

Day 15: Dunhuang   Relax and explore local attractions, including the world-famous Mogao Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 16: Dunhuang to Hami (400 km, 6-hour drive)      Begin your Silk Road journey towards Hami, taking in the historic and cultural significance of the region.

Day 17: Hami to Turpan (410 km, 5.5-hour drive)    Visit attractions in Turpan, the third lowest point on Earth:
– Karez Well System
– Grape Valley
– Gaocang Ancient Town
– Flaming Mountain

Day 18: Turpan to Kuytun (430 km, 5-hour drive)  Drive via Urumqi, enjoying the contrasting landscapes of the region.

Day 19: Kuytun to Khorgos, then to Almaty
Kuytun to Khorgos (410 km, 5-hour drive): Stop at Sayram Lake for scenic views. Arrive at the border crossing at Khorgos.

Kazakhstan

Day 20: Horgos to Almaty      A 350-kilometer drive takes approximately 6hours from Horgos to Almaty, following the border crossing.

Day 21: Almaty Exploring the Sights of Almaty.

Day 22: Almaty to Shymkent (700 KMs: An 8-HourDrive)  Through the Desert A long day of driving in the vast desert awaits.

Day 23: Shymkent to Kyzylorda (500 kilometers: 6-hour drive to Kyzylorda)

Day 24: Kyzylorda to Aralsk (450 kilometers: A 6-hour drive to Aralsk)

Day 25: Aralsk to Aktobe (620 Kms 10 Hrs Drive)

Day 26: Aktobe to Тамо (e 110 kilometers for 1.5hours) Cross the border from Kazakhstan into Russia

Russia

Day 26: Russian Customs,Яйсан, to Orenburg (275 kilometers, 5-hour drive) Once you cross the border, make your way to Orenburg.

Day 27: Orenburg to Kazan (700 kilometers 10-hourdrive)   Experience the stunning Russian landscapealong the journey

Day 28: Kazan Exploring Local Attractions and Relaxation Day.

Day 29: Kazan to Murom (585 Kms, 8-Hour Drive) Take in the stunning Russian landscapes along the journey.

Day 35: Riga to Vilnius (Lithuania) traveling 300 km in a 4-hour drive: enjoy sightseeing upon arrival in vilnius, including attractions like Vilnius old town and the gate of dawn, among others. 300 kms, 4- hour drive: after crossing the border, make your way to Riga, the capital of Latvia. enjoy local sightseeing in the afternoon, including a visit to the central market and other attractions.

Day 36: Vilnius to Warsaw (Poland) 500 Kms. 6-hour drive   : exploring Warsaw’s old town, castle square, and more.

Day 38: Warsaw to Prague (Czec republic) a long driving day in Europe: 650 kms in 8 hours.

Day 39: Prague sightseeing

Day 40: Prague to Vienna (Austria) exploring the sights of Prague. 360 Kms, 5-hour drive: overnight stay in Vienna.

Day 41: Vienna exploring the sights of Vienna.

Day 42: Vienna to Budapest (Hungary) 300 Kms in a 4-hour drive: along the route, we will pass through Slovakia and enjoy sightseeing in Budapest.

Day 43: Budapest exploring the sights of Budapest

Day 44: Budapest to Zagreb (Croatia) 375 kms: a 6-hour drive to explore Zagreb city

Day 45: Zagreb to Plitvice np and return

Day 46: Zagreb to Postojna (Slovania) a 140 km drive takes 2 hours: exploring postojna cave. 260 Kms , 5-hour drive: sightseeing at plitvice lakes  national park

Day 47: Postojna to Venice (Italy) 240 Kms, 3-hour drive: explore Venice through sightseeing. enjoy a gondola ride along the grand canal and take part in a walking tour.

Day 48: Venice to Milan (Italy) a 300 km drive in 5 hours: relish the stunning landscapes along the journey.

Day 49: Milan to Interlaken (Switzerland) a 270 km drive taking about 4 hours, with a visit to lake lucerne along the way.

Day 50: Grindelwald (Switzerland) exploring local attractions: a trip to Grindelwald and the Jungfrau top

Day 51: Lauterbrunnen (Switzerland) local sightseeing: exploring Mürren, Allmendhubel summit, and more.

Day 52: Bern (Switzerland) 300 Kms in a 5-hour drive: exploring the sights of Bern. local sightseeing: exploring Mürren, Allmendhubel summit, and more

Day 53: Interlaken to Munich (Germany) 450 Kms. a 6-hour drive: enjoy a brief sightseeing tour of Zurich along the way.

Day 54: Munich exploring the sights of Munich

Day 55: Munich to Frankfurt (Germany) 400 Kms. 4-hour drive: exploring the sights of Frankfurt.

Day 56: Frankfurt to Amsterdam (Netherlands) travel 250 Kms a 5- hour drive: if you can, be sure to visit the old bridge in mostar.

Day 57: Amsterdam exploring the sights of Amsterdam.

Day 58: Amsterdam 250 kms, 5-hour drive: a journey to Giethoorn village

Day 59: Amsterdam to brussels (Belgium) 200 Kms, 3-hour drive: explore the grand palace and, if time allows, visit Ghent.

Day 60: brussels to Paris (France) a 400 km drive takes approximately 5 hours.

Day 61: Paris exploring Paris: Eiffel tower, louvre museum, various palaces and more!

England

Day 62: Paris to London(United Kingdom) 470kilometers in a 7-hour drive: To reach London, we need to cross the English Channel by ferry from Calais to Dover.

Day 63: London

Day 65: London Shipping Vehicles Back to India.

Day 66: London to India Return to India.

Note – We may have to alter the itinerary on the go in case of road blockage, or any other political reason that is  beyond our control.

– Defaults, untoward incidents, or acts of God
– Causes beyond their control

Planet way Round does not provide insurance for:
– Accidents
– Sickness
– Loss due to theft
– Any other reasons

Participants are advised to obtain insurance coverage in their home country before the
journey.

Participants are responsible for:
– Taking care of their baggage and personal belongings.
– Participants should:
– Drive carefully and follow road safety rules and regulations.
– Adhere to the stipulated speed range, even if roads are good.
– Be aware that violations in safety rules may result in fines or legal action.
– Read road safety rules of the destination countries before starting the journey.

 

Participants must accept the terms and conditions of Planet way Round and not claim
compensation from the organizers.

Participants are solely responsible for:
– Damages and legal complications during the journey.
– Participants should:
– Obey instructions from the convoy leader at all times.
– Drive together and not break away from the convoy.
– Keep vehicles between the lead and sweep vehicles.
– Not bypass convoy vehicles without permission, except in emergencies.

In case of an emergency:
Contact the convoy leader immediately.

The convoy leader will:
– Brief participants every night about the next day’s plan (assembly time, departure time,
destination, etc.).
– Ensure all vehicles stop together, even if some participants do not want to take a break.
– Participants should be ready by 7:00 AM (local time) to start the journey, as instructed by the convoy leader.
– Failure to follow instructions may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the security deposit.
– The consumption or possession of narcotics and illegal activities are strictly forbidden.
– Violations will result in immediate removal and forfeiture communication methods

with your safety and experience in mind.

What Kind of Vehicle Will I Need?
We highly recommend SUV vehicles, as they are well-suited for the diverse terrains on this journey. From gravel and dirt roads to steep climbs and high-altitude stretches, an SUV will ensure both durability and comfort.

Will Vegetarian Meals Be an Issue?
Vegetarian meals will be available in most regions, though options may not always be elaborate. To ensure your comfort, we’ll carry ready-to-eat vegetarian meals for emergencies.

What About Medical Assistance?
Our crew vehicle will be equipped with first aid kits and basic medical supplies. However, we strongly advise participants to bring an ample supply of any prescribed medications, as these may not be easily available in the regions we travel through.

Will You Help with Documentation?
Absolutely! We’ll guide you through the process of obtaining all necessary documents, including Visas, Carnet de Passage, and special permits. You’ll also receive a briefing on the rules and regulations for each country we cross.

What Driving Experience Do I Need?
If you have an International Driving Permit and are comfortable driving, you’re good to go! No prior experience with cross-border or hilly driving is necessary, as our team will
be there to guide you.

Will Fuel Be Readily Available?
Yes, fuel will be available throughout the route.

Can you book a hotel for me?
Yes, sure we can book hotel stay for you for your pre and post tour days.
What is your cancellation policy?
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/ unavoidable reasons we must be informed in written. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive mail in written and cancellation charges would be as follows:
• Once the booking is confirmed – 25% of the tour/service cost.
• 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
• 07 days prior to arrival – 75% of the tour/service cost.
• Less than 72 hours or no show – NO REFUNDS
Can you send us the final itinerary before we book the tour?
Yes we always send the tour program before you book.
Note - as we travel in the Himalayas at time if necessary we have to make changes in the itinerary due to snow fall / road closure or any other natural calamity that is beyond our control.
Is basis first aid available with the team
The accompanying team carries with it basis first aid, Oxygen for emergency use
Why are your tours so expensive?
Travelling in the Himalayas requires as lot of preparation and a lot of specialty equipment, this along with the cost of the highly experienced travelling crew and their vehicles increases the cost of the Expedition in the Himalayas.
